PERSONALITY
She's a storm, like the one she carries in her eyes.
That phrase, pronounced by Blair's tutor at the Time Academy, is perhaps the best way to describe the pinkette. A person with a very difficult attitude, to both describe and stand, Blair is not the type of person you'd enjoy befriending, or much less would try to approach. To begin with; having spent years and years in the Time Academy, focusing entirely on understanding how Time works, and how to control this rare, unique force, usually seen as uncontrollable and constant, undestructable and unchangeable, Blair grew as a cold, asocial person. Always too focused on keeping time intact and keeping the rules, Blair apparently forgot that she was supposed to communicate with other human beings, and those who surrounded her did exactly the same, which slowly modeled her into a cold person, who dislikes unnecessary interaction with others, and tends to avoid it at all cost. The ocassions, in which she willingfully accepts to hold a civilized conversation with someone, are rare, and usually only transcurr when she encounters another one of her "species"; another Time Guardian, with whom she can discuss the secrets and mysteries of time, and attempt to figure out the many enigmas left for her, and all the Time Gguardians to resolve.
As it is mentioned in the short quote above, pronounced by Praeterius, Blair's tutor, the man who taught her most of the things she knows about Time, Blair is like a storm. Obviously, not a literal one, but figuratively, she's insanely similar to a storm. Unpredictable, perillous, and incredibly destructive. Although most expect Time Guardians to be on the good side of the law, or to be with positive alignents, Time Guardians are nothing like that. Centuries ago, at the formation of the Academy of Time, the first Guardians swore, and made all the following generations swear, to remain loyal to neutrality, the alignment they chose to follow, and the only alignment that would let them live peacefully; Time Guardians are, obviously, not entirely accepted by all institutions, which, in their case, is nowhere near true, and does not permit them to be part of certain alignments for their bad relationships with said institutions, which only keep staining the names of the Time Guardians; the most important of those opposing institutions being the Church. The church, with its fantastic beliefs and "truths" they protect with their very life, never have accepted that human beings can be so intelligent, and control something like time, which has always been considered to be a uncontrollable by anyone else, but God, divine creation. Their mentality, their way of thinking is strictly against the Time Guardians, and accuses them of severe witchcraft and sinful actions most of the time. That aside; the Neutrality in the Time Guardians' nature allows them to do whatever they consider right, in their oppinion, as long as it keeps Time intact. If keeping time in order requires exterminating the human race, they will do it. From there Blair's perillous, unpredictable and lethal side comes. She is literally unpredictable; every single move of her, her atitude, everything Blair does is absolutely unpredictable. Her actions tend to be perfectly calculated and insanely intelligent, to the point that everything she does is so diverse and unexpected, that people tend to not know what she will do next.
Her lethal, perillous side is quite connected to her neutrality. Time Guardians are creatures that hold immense power. If they desire; they can freeze everyone around them in time. They can freeze someone in time. They can freeze someone's heart and kil him. Time Guardians are the type of creatures people respect, but tend to keep a distance from, as their unpredictable nature, and immense power can cause someone to lose his life, if he dares bother them. And that is exactly what happens with Blair. Although she is in favor of following the rules, mainly because breaking the rules will lead to her end one day (will be explained further below), Blair is the type of person that is always tiptoeing on the thin line between Good and Evil. She tends to protect others from evil, to save cities and such, but she is more than ready to delete someone from the face of earth, if he dares bother her, or waste her precious time. And watch out; although Blair, considering her background and who she is, comes off as a quite patient person, annoying people annoy her quickly, and tend to find their end in her precious, pale hands.
Aside from all these negative traits mentioned above, who make Blair who she is, we still have a plethora of other, both positive and negative traits, that further define her personality, and make her even more irritating than always. Blair is, to put it short, the most egoistic, egocentrical and arrogant person you can meet. As any Time Guardian. The power these creatures posess tends to make their ego rise quite a lot, and make them enfuritating with their arrogance, their high self esteem and egocentrism. That's how Blair is. She sees herself as a supperior being for being capable of controling time, and always sees herself as the center of the earth, as the person who deserves most attention. She is tiptoeing on the line between narcissistic, and normal, and is more or less a mix of the two. Blair sees herself as grand, someone who deserves love more than anyone else, adoration, and would even love herself, but doesn't reach that far, obviously.
APPEARANCE
Blair is a woman of average height, and beautiful body structure. Her petite, pale body gives her a frail, girly appearance, her curves combining perfectly with it, her thin waist pronouncing her delicate and beautiful curves, giving her the appearance of a fragile aristocratic girl. Her beauty is said to rival this of a Goddess, and in many occassions, many would describe her beauty as a beauty supperior of a Goddess'. Caitlyn's face is classicaly beautiful; Beautiful greyish cat-like eyes, small nose and average lips, not too big nor too small, Blair seems to be the kind of girl you just can't look at once and then look away. The most eye-catching feature of her face, are her eyes, indeed. Beautiful, piercing cat-like eyes, long eyelashes and petite eyebrows adorning them, Blair has stormy grey eyes, which always seem to shine with wisdom or arrogance, and at which most look, and end up mesmerized. Back in the days when she was in the Time Academy, most of the great Guardians of Time referred to her as "Our Storm", for her stormy personality, and the storm she carries in her irises, or, in other words, her stormy grey eyes. Aside from all that, Blair has silky, slightly curled light pink hair, which normally reaches slightly beneath her shoulders, yet which she constanlty keeps on her shoulder, and never throws it back, on her back.
SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS
Blair has a few peculiarities about her, that, if nothing else, are worth mentioning and explaining, as all of them have a great impact on her attitude, and overall on who she is, To begin with; Blair lacks a heart. Literally. Her heart was removed from her chest in the exact moment when she graduated from the Time Academy. An enormous scar traverses her chest, right there, where her vital organ is supposed to be, meaning only one thing; she is not supposed to be alive. As she was taken away to become a Guardian of Time, Blair had to endure a series of insane tests, classes that required an intelligence that most adults or humans did not possess, and many more tasks, one of which led to the scar that traverses her chest. When the education of a future Guardian of Time is finally completed, said Guardian must commit the unthinkable in the human society; remove his heart. And this is exactly Blair's case. In order to gain the title of a Guardian of Time, she had to go through the ultimate challenge of getting her heart removed, and surviving the process.
Blair has a clock tattoo on her back, right beneath her neck, occupying all the space from one of her shoulders to the other one. This tattoo, unlike many would suspect, is not normal at all; it is not the typical tattoo one gets just because it's neat or something similar; it is, in a few words, her life force. That clock was tattooed on her back ages ago, when she completed her Guardian Training; after her heart got removed, barely seconds after that, she got the tattoo engraved on her back, like every other Guardian does. It serves, to put it simply, to measure the life left for a guardian. Nobody really knows how it works; not even the olders Guardians, which come from the time of the Greek, know how to deschipher how much time a person has left. If the arrow points at 5, then what could it mean? Does said person have 19 years left of life? Does he/she have 190? 19000? Nobody knows. What the Guardians do know, however, is that every time a Time Guardian violates one of the rules of time, the arrows on their back advance. A lot. Every rule that is violated slowly kills the Guardians. Right now, Blair's small arrow is at 2.
MOTIVATION
Blair's only motivation, the one that makes her get up every morning from her bed, the one that makes her keep fighting in a war, is her desire to complete her duty as a Guardian of time, her will to protect Time at all cost, and to make it keep functioning the correct way, to avoid the chains of time breaking and making the world succumb into chaos and destruction.
FEAR
Blair is a person that, albeit she seems fearless, has quite a lot of fears, some greater, others smaller, some serious, other more ridiculous. To begin with; Blair fears a lot small, closed spaces, or, she has Claustrophobia, in other words. She just cannot remain into a small, closed space for too long. She freaks out, she has the feeling she'll asfixiate, or will be crushed by the walls. Aside from that, Blair hates insects. A lot. They have too many legs, they have weird appearances, they have nasty wings with which they fly, and most are just creepy and crawly. And not only insects; but bugs in general. Try to make her approach a spider and you'll get your head separated from your neck. And, her last very serious fear, are abandoned buildings. Lonely, abandoned buildings are creepy. Dark, empty, with many places where psychopaths or monsters can hide, Blair attempts to avoid those at all cost.
BIOGRAPHY
Childhood
Blair was born on a sunny day on the 31st of August 21 years ago, in a family of incredibly respected aristocrates, which occupied a high position in the noblety, and were always near the royalty. That said, one could easily deduce that Blair was pretty much born with a silver spoon in her mouth, always given what she desired whenever she desired it, even if it was the most expensive thing in the world. Unlike what many would expect, Blair did not grow up as a spoiled child. She, unlike many other aristocrates, didn't find much amusement in getting her parents to buy her expensive gifts every day, or things like that, but found sheer happiness in books. Unlike many children. Ever since a very frail age, Blair had always been an insanely intelligent child. She found Books amusing at an age, in which the girls of her age played with dolls. She wanted more books and knowledge at an age in which most children just wanted more and more gifts and didn't even care about books. Her parents, obviously, noticed her weird attitude, and, although many would think otherwise, they were quite amused by their daughter's attitude. After all; Beatrice and Devon Gremory were some of the few highly intelligent arisocrates, which vallued knowledge about as much, as the Burgeois did. They kept observing their daughter's attitude for a few years, until they came to the conclusion that their child was, as many of the facts appointed, a genuis, with a great mind which should not be wasted. A great mind, which had to be put in use somewhere, and hopefully would be made even greater.
And that was, in a few words, their reasoning to send her in the Time Academy.
Teenage Years
Blair was sent in the Time Academy at the age of 7, and pretty much grew up in that place, for she graduated from it at the age of 20, and never really left it. At first, being closed in this weird, Gothic-like cathedral made the girl confused, for she was incapable to comprehend what she was doing in such an immense Cathedral, which also served as an Academy and Residence, with all those old men and women and the books, clocks and everything. Her mind, albeit brilliant, could not realise at the moment what her function was in this immense, mesmerizing, yet enigmatic location, where everyone stared at her with interest. Strict as it is, the Academy has always disliked, and still does, wasting time in breaks, useless free time, etc, which would allow the brilliant mind of their students get distracted with side issues, so, merely hours after Blair was sent to the Academy, her classes began. She shared classes with all kinds of people, all of them much much older than her, her being the only 7 years old child in the ranks of the Time Academy. Ever. And yet she grew up as the most brilliant Guardian. At first, her brilliant mind found the theories and studies about time troublesome and rather difficult; it was challenging for her at first, for she had passed on from learning about laws and theories which were proved, to theories, to studies which she had always considered impossible to be true, for time had always been an abstract concept for her, in a sense. It existed but... One could not control time, one could not manipulate it at will... Or could he?
As soon as she overcome the initial troubles of the studies, Blair quickly rose through the ranks to become the most brilliant student of her class. Every theory, every law that applied on time, everything entered her little, yet brilliant head and never got out. Even the most complex theories she ended up understanding, and never fell out during the route of becoming a Time Guardian, unlike many of her peers, who soon found themselves uncapable to go on and left the Academy, their minds incapable to comprehend most of what was happening inside the academy. And meanwhile, Blar just progressed, and progressed, and became greater and greater. Soon enough, she began studying how to control time, the hardest part of the education of a Time Guardian, something that most guardians did not manage to reach until the age of 17, yet which she did at the age of 10, further proving the brillance of her mind, her incredible intelligence.
Time control required Blair to focus on it entirely, all day, making her grow as an asocial and cold person. Absorbed by the desire to learn, to become a guardian, Blair stopped contacting with her family, which visited her ocassionally every 1-2 months, yet every time she refused to meet up with them, because she had classes. She even refused to see them the day before her parents died, both incredibly ill. The saddest part of it, is she doesn't regret refusing. Blair never knew her parents really well, due to the fact she was sent away very young. The only thing she cared, was if she'd inherit the Grimoire Mansion and her parents' immense fortune, or not. From there she gained the nickname of "Greed", which she perserved during all the years she spent in the Academy, and which made her freeze the heart of several of her companions in time, Nearly killing them every time. Regardless of her cruel actions, she was still adored by the Mentors for her intelligence.
Adulthood
Her Twentieth birthday. Blair remembers nothing about it, except how she walked slowly towards the sinister room at the end of the hallway of the Time Academy, led by Praeterius, her mentor, and several other. She remembers how she gripped her chest for a last time before she layed down on the elegant, stone table, how a single tear slipped out of her eye before she closed them, hoping that later she could open her eyes once more, and that this had not been her last hour on Earth. And once she closed her eyes, she entered hell. Her chest was mercilessly open by her mentors, her beating heart disconnected from all arterias, veins, everything, and removed from her chest, magic applied insantly on her to keep her alive. Time Magic. The monstrous scar on Blair's chest that indicates she should not be alive, walking, or talking, she earned that day. The day in which she had to go through the most terrifying challenge in the path of becoming a Time Guardian; the removal of the heart. Due to an error of one of the members, she was conscious in the beginning, until her heart was ripped out. She had not been put asleep, so she felt the monstrous pain as her chest was opened, and her heart ripped out, but never did she say a word, not a single sound escaped her lips, nothing. However, when her heart was ripped out, her eyes widened, opening and staring in terror, which led the mentors to realise the mistake and immediately put her asleep. As quickly as possible, the mentors created the clock tattoo on her back, which would be her life force from then on, and closed the wound on her chest, a solemn, sad look on their faces, as they patiently awaited to see if Blair would wake up, or if she had died. None of them wanted the latter. Such a brilliant student like her, such a beautiful girl, deserved to live. They needed someone like her in their ranks.
And this is why all of them cheered, when she woke up, her stormy eyes looking at the world once more. Now not as a simple human being's eyes, but as a Time Guardian's eyes.
Skills/Magic
Blair is a Time Guardian; hence, she can control time. Literally. Taught during more than 13 years to become a Guardian, Blair is capable of bending time and controlling it, stopping it, accelerating it, altering it, at will. She studied, graduated, and simply lived in the Time Academy, of which she is considered a part of, as a possible mentor. In it, Blair learned all types of things, all sorts of abilities she can pull until this very day. To begin with, Blair can stop time. For herself, for someone else, for both, of for everyone who she desires. She can simply freeze time and do a million things while that happened, then unfreeze it and not a single second would have passed, she can freeze time for herself and someone else and speak for hours, although it will seem as if they talked for less than a second. She can take herself back in time, there, where she was seconds ago, or she can condemn someone and make him an old man, or a baby once more, she can freeze someone's organs in time, particularly the heart, and kill that person, she can go in the future, she can endlessly travel in time, Blair can do anything related to time. As long as it follows the rules of the Time Academy, and doesn't remove part of her life from her, as long as it doesn't make the arrow on the clock on her back advance.
