BRAEDON, THE COLORLESS TOWN
It was thirty years ago that a precarious peace was orchestrated between the two great kingdoms of Florence and Wolfsheim. Florence with its vast riches and military might and Wolfsheim with its unbelievable strength and mysterious powers had been in cross with each other for more than a century. The cause of this war is not recorded in any history books but one thing was for sure; the whole predicament had something to do with the two great kings that founded the great empires. Florence is a country ruled by humans and inhabited by them while Wolfsheim is a country ruled and inhabited by Hybrids or people with animal like features (half-human, half-animal). Their differences had put them in the battlefield for centuries before both countries called a truce to preserve their resources and precious lives.
However, there was one obstacle standing in their way for the creation of peace treaty. Located on both their borders and inhabited by both humans and Hybrids was the town known as Braedon that at that time was under the direct control of the kingdom of Florence. But in the faith of goodwill, Florence offered a solution to Wolfsheim as they both couldn't decide on who was to have control over the town. In their extensive and exacting conference, it was decided that the town become an independent city state ruled by a council, with aristocrats from both countries in it.
But through time and its cruel pleasures, that independence is still as fragile as the peace treaty itself as both countries still cast a large foreboding shadow over the town. Class struggle and corruption is a part of their daily life now as riches look down at the poor and the humans looks down on the Hybrids. Yet despite the political and social turmoil and the infighting of the council, daily life still continues in Braedon.
